Meet Donna

Have you heard about the D-Bird?

Meet the D-Bird! Former US Navy Corpsman, Donna, joined the support crew in Kansas City and has kept the walking team ship-shape since then. She usually spends her time working hard with Team Rubicon and this year she has been awarded the Clay Hunt Fellowship - which has actually been funded by our good friends at the Bob Woodruff Foundation. When not responding to disasters, she’s at home in Florida organizing social projects and events for local TR volunteers. This Summer, she’s spending her time with the Walk Of America in order to honor her friend James who sadly took his own life last year having found the transition from the Army to civilian life really tough. As someone who suffers with her own TBI, Donna knows the meaning of ‘invisible wounds’ and is just as passionate as the team to educate others about them. Donna, the team are so lucky to have you with them all the way to NYC, thank you so much for your hard work and heart of gold.
