Raising Funds to Support US & UK Veterans
The Walk Of America highlights the close bond between the US and UK military. On many occasions we have fought side by side, and as two nations we should support our veterans side by side as well. There is so much we can learn from one another about how we can care better for our wounded and injured, not just those with physical and psychological injuries, but those who struggle to adjust having left the military, finding themselves homeless or unemployed.
During the Walk, we want to focus on mental ill-health, the 'invisible wounds'. A number of the team have suffered from PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) and other mental health challenges, and they will be telling their stories, raising awareness as they walk through the US. Every penny and every cent we raise during the course of the Walk Of America will be split 50:50 between military charities on both sides of the Atlantic, through our 501c3 in the US, and our charitable status in the UK. Please support the extraordinary endeavours of the team, and those who have so gallantly served on our behalf, both in the United States and United Kingdom.
