Welcome to the Walking With The Wounded's VE Day poetry competition.

We want you to get those creative juices flowing and write a poem on the theme of ‘Freedom’. This can be written about people, animals, events or objects. There’s no limit to your creativity!

The word limit is 300. 
When you have completed your poem you can join the competition by -

  1. Go to https://wwtw.org.uk/Home/Donate
  2. Fill in your details and make a donation however big or small. A minimum donation of £2.00 is required to enter the competition. Any donations made will go towards WWTW services for vulnerable veterans, which will continue during the outbreak of Covid-19.
  3. Type the poem in the "Leave a message" field.
  4. Once we have received your entry we will send you a packet of poppy seeds.  The poppy is best known as a symbol of remembrance for soldiers who gave their lives in the first World War.  We thought is would be a nice symbol for you to grow in your garden or window box.

The winner will receive a £50 Amazon voucher and a FREE talk from one of our ambassadors at their school.

The deadline for entries is midnight 15th May 2020. The winner announced on 30th May 2020.
